Program Overview

Within the Ultimate Reset program, they give you the exact meals (with recipes) to make for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, on each day. For instance, day 1 consists of eggs, steamed spinach, and toast for breakfast, a salad for lunch, and salmon, asparagus, and potatoes for dinner. But if you have any dislikes or allergies, you can swap a meal out with another meal within that phase. Essentially, you can repeat a meal everyday as long as it is a recipe within that phase! For example, on day 1, I skipped the salmon because I do not like salmon. Instead, I chose to make the day 2 meal. If you do this program, I highly recommend trying new recipes! They are all delicious.

My normal day for all 21 days looked like this: 

6:30 AM -- Wake up, Yoga, Meal prep for day
8:00 AM -- Supplement Combo #1
8:30 AM -- Breakfast
12:00 PM -- Supplement Combo #2
12:30 PM -- Lunch
3:00 PM -- Supplement Combo #3
3:30 PM -- Snack
6:00 PM -- Supplement Combo #4
6:30 PM -- Dinner

Also, throughout the day, you have to drink a gallon of water. It may sound like a lot but you drink a lot with the supplements. I didn't have any issues getting the gallon down!

It is best to look at this program as 3 separate phases, each lasting one week: 

Phase 1: Reclaim

In Phase 1, you RECLAIM your body, accessing its inner chemistry and preparing it for change. In week 1, you'll gradually remove foods such as red meat and dairy from your diet, which are known to place stress on the digestive system.

Results

I lost 15 lbs overall, as well as 12.5 inches. I have so much energy in the morning and it lasts all day long! I am in a GREAT mood, no matter what gets thrown my way. I can focus! I found myself being productive around the house. My house has never been cleaner ha! I no longer crave snacks, wine or junk food. Ultimate Reset - Phase 3 Overview

OHMYGOSH! I can't believe I finished the full Ultimate Reset with NO CHEATS and FOLLOWED ALL THE RULES! I NEVER thought in a million years I would make it through without a glass of wine or even a COOKIE!

And I feel AMAZING! This may be one of the best cleanses/detoxes/reset programs out there. Hands down! Delicious recipes. Easy-to-follow meal plan. Never felt like I was starving.

In all, I lost 14.6 lbs and 12.5 inches overall, including 3 inches around my waist! It's important to note that the weight lost from the Ultimate Reset is from waste and water! Each phase of the program has its own goals, especially in week 2, where you start to cleanse your system and encourage your body to release toxins and waste, and in phase 3, you begin to restore your body. Here's the breakdown of Phase 3: 

Phase 3: Restore

Hopefully, your first two weeks on the Beachbody Ultimate Reset had profoundly positive effects on your body. You've stepped out of your comfort zone in learning to think about food in a new way, eating and shopping for ingredients you may never have heard of before (wakama seaweed, anyone?), and introduced new supplements into your daily regimen. 

During this final phase, you'll adjust your diet once again. You'll cut back on grains and consume mainly fruits and vegetables - for fiber and further alkalization, and to provide your body with pure, whole foods that are of high nutritional value and are easily absorbed. Right now, that may sound tough... but once you've tuned up your body, the food you do eat will satisfy you more (you'll find that fruit tastes like candy!)

In Phase 3, you'll also be introduced to your final supplement - a pre- and probiotic called Revitalize - which will restore healthy bacteria to your freshly scrubbed digestive tract (this is very important, and often neglected in cleanse programs). 


In week 1, we start to lose animal protein, including dairy, fish, and chicken. In week 2, there is no animal protein and we take a detox supplement 3 times a day to help cleanse our bodies. In week 3, no more proteins at all. The diet consisted of fruits and veggies all week! So it was an adjustment to say the least. 

The idea is this: You have worked to clean your body inside and out, so you're able to survive on less protein and calories because you are able to absorb MORE of the nutrients from foods then you have been.  ALSO, You need your body to stay in "detox" mode so you adjust to a cleansing diet of fruits and veggies for the week before completing the program. 

Here is some of the FOOD! 



New things I tried: 
  • Fennel bulb! Omg was this delicious! I can't wait to try new recipes using fennels.
  • Bok choy! Loved the crunchiness and taste when stir-fried. 
  • Napa cabbage! 
  • Jicama! It looks like a potato when whole and an apple when cut. The perfect crunchiness to my salads! I actually had that salad for lunch today outside of the reset! 

The reason I did this Ultimate Reset was not to lose weight or look great in a bikini. I found myself drinking a ton of wine and beer, snacking uncontrollably on anything in my grasp. I wasn't sleeping well AT ALL! I found myself in a fast food drive through way too many times a month. I just felt like crap. I needed to do something! 

The program was the perfect way to reset my habits. It included a handbook that was so comprehensive and straight-forward. Each week was laid out for what supplements to take, what food to eat, and there were recipes and printable grocery lists to take to the store with you. It makes it SO EASY! You just need the confidence and the will to do it.

Spinach Salad - Ultimate Reset Phase 3

What a DELICIOUS salad!!! I loved every bit of it. I used the Ginger Sesame Miso dressing and it was amazing!


Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh baby spinach
  • 10 cherry tomatoes, cut in half
  • 1 medium cucumber, sliced
  • 1/4 medium jicama, sliced
  • 1/4 medium avocado, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp dressing of choice

Directions

  1. Combine spinach, tomatoes, cucumber, jicama, and avocado in a large serving bowl.
  2. Top with dressing.

Roasted Fennel Bulb - Ultimate Reset Phase 3

I decided to make this recipe during Phase 3 of the Ultimate Reset. I kinda already had it in my mind that I was NOT going to like it. I had a back up meal in place ready to cook in its place. Boy was I wrong. Adding this to my meal plan after the Reset and can't wait to try it in different recipes!


Ingredients

  • 1 large fennel bulb (8 oz)
  • 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp Himalayan salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Remove greens and root from fennel bulb and cut into chunky wedges. 
  3. Combine fennel with oil and salt in a small bowl; mix well. 
  4. Arrange fennel in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 25-35 minutes, or until golden and tender.

Vinaigrette - Ultimate Reset

Simple, easy to make Vinaigrette. This was the last one to try since it was just a basic vinaigrette but was still delicious! Once again, never buying a vinaigrette in the store again!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp Himalayan salt
  • 1 tsp raw honey (or pure maple syrup)
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tsp chopped fresh herbs (like basil, oregano, parsley, or dill), to taste, optional
(Makes 8 servings, about 2 Tbsp each.)

Directions

  1. Place oil, vinegar, salt, honey, and lemon juice, plus herbs (if desired), in a small bowl; mix well. 

Enjoy!

Greek Dressing - Ultimate Reset

This was the first dressing I tried in the Reset. Ended up using it all week! Loved it, even on the non-Greek salads :)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Himalayan salt
  • 1 tsp herbal seasoning blend
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
(Makes 8 servings, about 2 Tbsp each.)


Directions

  1. Place oil, red wine and balsamic vinegars, lemon juice, oregano, garlic, mustard, salt, seasoning blend, and parsley in a blender or food processor; cover with lid. Blend until smooth.
  2. Refrigerate dressing if not using immediately. If dressing solidifies when cold, hold at room temperature for 30 minutes. Stir before serving.

Ginger Sesame Miso Dressing - Ultimate Reset

This was another favorite dressing during the Ultimate Reset! Simple, healthy, and delicious!

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp miso paste
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Bragg Liquid Aminos
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil
  • 1 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1/4 cup water
(Makes 8 servings, about 2 Tbsp each.)

Directions

  1. Place miso, vinegar, Bragg Liquid Aminos, oil, ginger, and water in a blender or food processor; cover with lid. Blend until smooth
  2. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
